1/12/12, 2:57pm. The meeting for Thursday night, Jan 12 has been postponed until next Thursday night, Jan 19. Same time and place as Jan 12. Due to the weather and road conditions, it would be safer for everyone that could attend. Stay tuned to the web site and the Hot Line for any more changes. Be Safe everyone!
1/05/12- The agenda for our monthly meeting in January, we will be setting our autocross schedule for the upcoming season and getting ideas for things we want to accomplish for the upcoming year as well, including drive locations/dates etc. Please come and give your input and ideas, we hope to see you there! 12/01/11- The annual Holiday party/brief meeting will be Saturday, December 17, at the home of Jamie and Tracy Benard in Peters Creek, AK. Click here for directions (21249 Meadowlake Drive, the Zip Code is Chugiak but it is in the Peters Creek ares, look for orange cones at the front door to the house). Drinks and Greetings will be 5pm, dinner at 6pm followed by some brief club business, then the start of the Chinese Auction, let the fun begin! The club will provide all the food and sodas, but please BYOB! Shrimp Cocktail and Salmon dip will be served during drinks and the main menu will be a yummy roast, twice baked potatoes, green beans and carrots, and some fancy Cheese Cakes for dessert. The gift limit for the Chinese Auction will be $40.00 if you choose to participate. Please RSVP to Teri Holtzclaw at 317-3251. Call Jim McNeff (242-1911) if you need additional help with directions. 11/14/11- Check out last months Pano…it has the Parade pictures of our group from Alaska, plus an article of the journey that Jaime and Mike took from Alaska to Georgia, the editing is a bit iffy-the writer points out a “moose” that is questionable….:)
Hospice of Anchorage has contacted Teri and we are scheduled to sit with the Hospice Holiday Tree on Saturday December 10-all day. Please call or come to the meeting to sign and volunteer a couple of hours of your day to help out, it is a wonderful cause! Something Graham Beckett started years ago and we continue each year. Teri has the information, please call her at 317-3251 if you cannot make the meeting. There are still time slots available!

10/08/11- The club was contacted by a group attempting to establish and break a series of World Records in a modified Porsche Cayenne Turbo Diesel. We were asked to assist in the Alaska/ALCAN Hwy portion of the attempt in the spring of 2012. The team left western France on Oct 13 and hopes to be in Sovetskaya Gavan at St. Nicholas’Point on Russias Far East Coast in by Oct 20th. More details about our involvement to follow!

9/1/11- A road trip hosted by the Alaska Street Rodders will take place on 9/11/11. “The Freedom Flag Run” …they want you!….in your vehicle or hot rod to come and cruise the Palmer/Wasilla Hwy with them. Click here for more detail. Everyone is invited!
8/22/11- Many many many thanks go out to those that help us out in putting our Autox on Aug 21….we couldn’t have done it without you help folks! Your efforts kept the wheels turning and everyone had fun!
8/14/11- Posting of the adventures of those members that attended this year’s Porsche Parade in Savannah, GA will be coming in the next few weeks, around the end of September. When it is all said and done….a great time was had by all and we came away with some awards….woohoo! :)
7/12/11- Thank you to everyone who was able to make the party this past weekend, we had dignitaries from both the city and the PCA National board that were able to attend our event. There were past Alaska presidents and members who we have not seen for quite some time that were able to make it and we were able to reconnect with them plus they shared great stories with the crowd, it really was a special night! Thanks to John Schneider again and all his “crew” who helped put this great event together, we could not have done it without them!
I truly hope everyone had a wonderful time and we look forward to doing it again in 10 years, hopefully bigger and better for the 50th Anniversary!

6/10/11- Mike, our President, was interviewed by the folks at Speed Channel and will be featured on the show, “Speed Test Drive” that will air, Saturday, May 11 at 3am, ADT and on Sunday, June 19th at 8:30am ADT. The show theme was “Porsche: Performance Every day.” Mike was one of five Porsche owners to be interviewed about their adventures centered around their cars. Set your DVR’s to catch the show and I’m sure we will all see a copy or two floating around the club.
